Please note that dental treatments are carried out by healthcare facilities holding a medical tourism licence. Once you begin treatment, the treating facility becomes a separate controller of your clinical records under its own policies and under healthcare law. This policy covers only the data we process as Lygos Dental.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details — your name, email address and telephone number, including the country code you select.
- Enquiry details — the answers you choose in our consultation forms, such as the treatment you are interested in, how many teeth are involved, your preferred timing, whether you have had previous dental work, and how you would like us to contact you.
- Anything else you send us — free-text messages, photographs of your teeth, or documents you choose to share by form, email or WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, language setting, and the pages you view.
- Referral and campaign data — the page that referred you and advertising identifiers carried in the link you arrived through (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content,gclid,fbclid). - Interaction data — through Yandex Metrica we record how visitors move through pages, including mouse movement, clicks and scrolling (a feature called Webvisor). This is used to understand how the site is used, not to identify you personally.
Health-related information
Information about your teeth, your dental history and photographs of your smile is health data, which receives special protection under data protection law. We only process it when you choose to send it to us so that we can answer your enquiry and prepare a treatment proposal. You are never obliged to send clinical details or photographs in order to contact us.
Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a personalised treatment proposal and quote | Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract |
| Contacting you by phone, email or WhatsApp about your enquiry | Your consent, given when you submit the form |
| Processing dental and photographic information | Your explicit consent |
| Measuring how our advertising and website perform | Our legitimate interest in running an effective business |
| Keeping the site secure and preventing spam and abuse | Our legitimate interest in protecting our systems |
| Meeting legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations | Compliance with a legal obligation |
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we need in order to operate, and only to the extent necessary:
- Zoho Corporation — our consultation forms run on Zoho Forms and the resulting enquiries are stored in Zoho CRM, where our patient advisors work with them.
- Google — Google Tag Manager and Google Ads, used to measure which campaigns lead to enquiries.
- Yandex — Yandex Metrica, used for website analytics and session recording as described above.
- Meta (WhatsApp) — if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your message and phone number are processed by WhatsApp under Meta’s own privacy policy.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers — the company that hosts this website and the content delivery networks that serve fonts and scripts.
- The treating healthcare facility — if you decide to proceed with treatment, we pass the information needed to plan and deliver your care.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to do so, or to establish or defend legal claims.
International transfers
We are based in Türkiye, and the providers listed above operate servers in a number of countries, including within the European Economic Area, the United States and the Russian Federation. This means your data may be transferred outside the country you live in. Where such a transfer is made from the EEA or the UK, it is made on the basis of the recipient’s standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not lead to treatment — held in our intake system for up to 12 months, after which they are deleted.
- Records in our CRM — kept for as long as we are in contact with you about your treatment and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can answer follow-up questions.
- Analytics data — retained according to the retention settings of the analytics providers named above.
- Records we must keep by law — kept for the period the law requires.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses cookies and comparable technologies for three purposes:
- Necessary — remembering your language choice and allowing the site’s caching to work. The site does not function properly without these.
- Analytics — Yandex Metrica, to understand how visitors use the site.
- Advertising — Google Ads and Google Tag Manager, to measure which advertisements lead to enquiries.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may cause parts of the site to stop working. You can also opt out of Yandex Metrica through the browser add-on Yandex provides, and manage Google advertising cookies through your Google account’s ad settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights:
- to ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- to have inaccurate data corrected;
- to ask us to delete your data;
- to ask us to restrict how we use it;
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- to receive your data in a portable format;
- to withdraw any consent you have given;
- to complain to your data protection authority. In Türkiye this is the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK); in the EEA and the UK it is the supervisory authority in your country.
To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law, and at the latest within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site, restrict access to enquiry data to the staff who need it, and apply rate limiting and spam protection to our forms. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take these measures seriously and review them regularly.
Children
This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 without the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
